Tebow had to made a big leap going into high school. Tim is the youngest of five children, all of which were homeschooled. Tebow's mother homeschooled all the children so she could keep religion in their teaching. But Tim still was able to play football. Tebow was player of the year both his junior and senior seasons. He was a very coveted prospect and was sought after by many colleges but eventually decided on Florida University.
Tebow's career took off with the Gators. He ended his career with more than 12,000 passing yards, 57 rushing touchdowns, completed 67% of the passes he threw, and only had 15 interceptions. He also won the Heisman as a sophomore (the first Sophomore to ever do so) and received the most votes out of any Heisman winner. Two National Championships later Tebow was drafted 25th overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL draft. His talent was questioned.
A handful of NFL coaches thought he would be the perfect fit for their team, but some analysts thought Tebow wouldn't make it as an NFL quarterback. Tebow sat the bench behind Kyle Orton
